XM 250 10k DE

Will the DE XM 10k's work on ARO and IceCap HQI ballast? I have the Pheonix 14k now but just a bit too blue for me and I would like to try and get a bit more growth. Thanks

They would work on the ARO but not the Icecap that is what I read. But you really get the best of a DE bulb using an HQI (M80) ballast. If your looking for a blue to white bulb then dont use the 10k I had them just to yellow for me. Growth was good from them but its all opinion for color.

If thje phoenix is just a "tad" too blue the XM is NOT the solution b/c it's WAY yellow vs the phoenix

i have a brand new xm 10k if you would like to trade. i was thinking about switching to the phoenix....

My phoenix bulbs are old thats why I am looking for a new one.

for something that's as close to "just a bit more white" than the phoenix, consider the reeflux 10k, 12k and the ushio 14k. I think that's about as close as you're gonna get.

I was thinking about the reeflux but it seems people have them turning pink. Not sure if this is fixed yet or not.

Im on the same boat as you are. Im running Phoenix on IC right now. I did some reading and XM DE is not for IC but EVC has the highest PAR for IC but seem no one talk about the color of EVC. is that white or yellow?
