Yellow porites

I want to try my hand at this again, previously I had a frag but it never grew at all. It requires very strong flow also.

Does anyone have a large "table" of it? Long term success?

Does yours does secrete some kind of plastic wrap thing on itself every few weeks? Safe to keep with other acros?

Neither did I obtain long term success with this coral, the plasticy secretions I also saw, this was suggested by a few readigs to be a simple exfoliation of dermal wastes. I don't remember where I read a few good paragraphs about this coral.

I don't know why I lost my colony, but even since those days when I was considered one of the better reef keepers in the local club and community I've learned so much, and obtained superior equipment. Something tells me the reason I lost my colony was a lack of randomized flow patterns and not enough light or maybe a periodic laxidasical lapse in good husbandry (again new equipment has helped me out here alot.)
