anyone have a yellow ricordea yuma? I was thinking about buying one but I am wondering if in the long run if they stay yellow or color up and become green?

I know the majority of "yellow" floridas are a tad bleached greens, but it seems like the yellow yumas are legit

just wanted to see before I pay twice as much for one

I got some yellow and blue yumas but after 3 weeks under MH they are now blue and orange (FL Gator yumas???)

I had a rainbow yuma that was sensative and bleached.. hasn't dissolved but hasn't gotten its color back yet either.. i think it reacted poorly to my T5s so its under PC lighting now in my aquapod and just is sitting there.. not sure what its doing! wondering if i shouldn't move it back to T5 or if it would just dissintegrate

I do have a yellowy\gold and purple one but it isnt a solid color

I just picked up a golden Yuma, It is acclimating and is definately yellow/gold but the outer rim appears to have a slight hint of green to it. It will be interesting to see what it does over time.

I have a yellow with purple base/rim Florida Ric and it is definately a nice golden yellow with a wonderful purple rim and a nice green mouth. It has kept this color for the last year or so. I keep it somewhat shaded and recently moved it into the light just a bit to see what it would do. I have a picture of it somewhere I just have to track it down on one of my computers. If I find it I'll post it.

That looks identicle to mine...Probably picked up at the same wholesaler by a different vendor, the one I got it from, here in the bay area. I shot a picture of it today and I just need to upload it to my website and then I can post it here. Mine is not as large as that one but it is dead on the same. The inner section is more golden and the outer edge is bannana yellow :D. Mine looks to be producing a baby :D. Definately a yellow Yuma.

Here is a side view shot of my golden-yellow Yuma. It has been in the tank only a few days. It has a tad bit of purple in the base. Top down view really picks up the yellow edge and golden inner area more than the side view. It is hard to see in this shot but the outer ring is bannana yellow, very cool :D. I paid less than $120 but I suspect my polyp is half the size of the one at Atlantis. They are definately the same Rics though. I look forward to this one growing and growing and making lots of babies.

I've been looking for this color for some time.I went to the site and it was $120!Way too steep for me.

When things don't come around, you gotta get them while you can. There are a couple of pieces I passed up on a year or two ago and I've never come across them again. :(

The Beaut, very nice, that guy looks HUGE...any babies being produced??

All Delight, Thanks ;). I also agree with you, some stuff may come around again, some may be more sparse...I tend to jump on things fairly quickly when I am inspired.
