yet another skimmer question

I have a PM skimmer rated for 125 G powered by a mag 7. A friend of mine told me to swap out that mag 7 with a sedra 9000 pumpto get the most out of the skimmer. He said that would increase production by 100% while i wholeheartedly trust his advice i just want to hear your input on this ..thanks

one more thing he said to put in a NW impeller as well

I think the NW sedra would work. The only problem you might have is that the 1" drain may not be able to handle the output of the sedra 9000 needlewheel. You might have to use the sedra 5000. Even then it might be pushing it.

talked to my friend and he said either pump should be fine if not i can always raised the skimmer. Dont know what he meant by that but i trust him
