You should check your dates

I made an order with you about 3 months ago when setting up my tank. The order was for various things but among them were 2 Red Sea Marine Lab test kits. Lastnight after getting some weird readings someone on the board suggested I check the date on my kit and to my shock it had expired on 02-05-02. It had been expired at least a year when you sent it to me. I initially thought this was a fluke and called my brother who I had ordered the other kit for to check his dates and sure enough his had expired around the same date. I am really let down by this allowing a product to go out that had expired that long ago or at all is a bad sign. I am now forced to replace a kit that I should still have a lot of tests let in.

Yeah this a real bummer.....I don't know wether to trust my tests or not...

Anyone from Marine Depot going to respond? Anyone else ever had a similar experience?

We apologize for the expired test kits that were shipped to you. We get these test kits from a couple of different distributors and it is possible that we failed to check the dates on the test kits you received.

Please give us a call at 714-385-0080 and we will be happy to send out send out new test kit for you and your brother. We would definitely not purposely send you, or make you pay for expired test kits.

When I called Joesph already knew who I was and had made the arrangements to ship out my new tests. Took about 5 seconds to verify my shipping address and thats it. Big thumbs up for taking care of this so late after the purchase.
