What would be your favorite choice for a reef friendly 37g tank?

I've had flame angels in the past, but was thinking of something new... Maybe coral beauty? Rock Beauty?

Any other suggestions?

False lemonpeel?

i hada pygmy in a 29 with some softies, it was a good fish, then it caught ich, i loved that fish, but i cant brign myself to get another one.

I love my Coral Beauty, Jub-Jub! He is the social butterfly of my tank.

Is there a "reef safe" pygmy? The swallowtails are planktivores so they would do, too big for a 37 though.

IMHO there's no such thing as a 'reef-safe' Centropyge angel. They're a gamble - some nip corals, some don't, and some start after years of ignoring the corals. The risk is worth it to me, they're wonderful fish.
I've got a flame, a coral beauty and a cherub in my 65g, all well behaved but there are occasional incidents of nipping that do no noticable damage, and a white-tailed pygmy in my 30g who doesn't even look at the corals. The cherub is probably my favourite of the bunch, he's such a spunky little guy and has the most adorable face - he could eat every coral in the tank and I'd forgive him :)

Watanabe? They're pretty. Or is that the same as the swallowtail?

Stay away from lemonpeels, I'd suggest. I had a hybrid half-black/lemonpeel that was a coral eating menace. I had to remove all my rock to get him out. I later found out that lemonpeels have a reputation for being the worst angel when it comes to coral pecking.

My coral beauty was a nightmare and I hope it burns in.....all right I don't hope that but I'm glad I'm rid of it.

Japanese Swallow Angels...not quite as good as it sounds but these are nice and reef safe

swallowtail angelfish get to 6" or so...so too big for a 29g.
I have a male that is now a little more than 4" and he's young.

Blinky thats totally how I feel about mine! Course, I dont have coral, but my pygmy is very well behaved around decorative macros and seagrass. A big algae flake pig. :D

I have a brazilian flameback. In all the tanks I have kept I have never had a problem with either the cherub pygmy or the flamebacks. On the other hand, I have never had a really good run with any flame angel I have tried.

Would love to have a flameback, although I don't seem to see them around in the LFS around here... Maybe I'll get a Coralbeauty.

ANyone try a RUSTY angel before?
