Gordon, Ed mentioned to me that you run the Zeovit system. Could you share your expierence with me?

I am looking to buy the basic kit, minus the Food, it looks like AA to me, of which I use the Salifert AminoAcids. Do you use all the supplements?

Hey Scott,

I have been very interested in the bacteria method of reducing nutrients for a long time. I have dosed Vodka in the past and started again recently.

There are a couple of other companies that have come out with similar systems and they are easier, supposedly safer and less money which I liked. I have ordered parts of Prodibio and Reef-resh and will eventually order some Zeo but it will be the non nutrient reducing ones.

Gordon has run the Zeovit but no longer does. dmorel also has tried it when he had his 90g. They can chime in with what their experience was with it.

I am going to be tring a method similar to Kirsten (avidly reading Iwan's fascinating thread). I already have all my Prodibio stuff and my zeo products (so far just AAHC and Coral Vitalizer) come this week. It makes a lot of sense, those Germans have really made a science out of the hobby.

I will the first person to get into this method to control Cyano. LMAO My coral colors are fine! However, when I was dosing Vodka before, I saw a difference in my coral color and it was great so I am excited to get going.

I do not want to take my system so low in nutrients that I have to add a bunch of other stuff back in. Some of the Zeo folks say that is control over your tank but I think at that point the tank controls you.

There is something to the whole nutrient balance thing and I am hoping that additional bacteria will help me achieve the correct balance in my tank.

I too am using prodibio, aahc, coral vitalizer and some others (no zeoliths though) for about 3 1/2 weeks now...I like the results colors are brighter abd dosing is easy, but not cheap.
