zoas on my clam

is this/ can this be a problem for my clam?

I have a 6" max 1/2 of one side is covered by zoas.

Is the "clem" pulling back when it touches the zoas?

no,

the mantle is not touching any yet. but they are growing on the shell.

in my expriances the zoas don't bother the clams. either do sps. i have had clam mantles touching millis which can have a bad sting and it doesn't seem to bother them one bit. i also have zoas growing on two of my clams shells.

but like nerd said if the clam does start to recide its mantle scrape off the zoas. some zoas have a more potent sting then others do.
