Zos change color under different light

I bought a frag yesterday and the zoa started out a very light blue color with a few polyps a Dark blue. Today I noticed that there are now more of the dark blues and seems that more and changing.

The lighting in the store was MH maybe 250 or 500w and mine is 4 VHOs 2 daylight 2 blues. Plus my frags are in deeper water than what they were in in the store.

Why do they change like that? I thought they would maybe lose the intensity of the color but not change.

I plan to get MH very soon and wonder also if they original color would change back.

Maybe, maybe not. I personally ditched my metal halide lighting in favor of adding more VHO bulbs and I think mine look better now than they did under my MH.

YOu could try moving them nearer the top?

I've had frags completely change colour, yet having the same strenght/colour lighting as the shop they came from?
