1/4 electronic solenoid valve

I recently bought two electronic solenoid valves for a project. They are normally closed valves and the leak significantly when closed. Anyone else had this problem? Any way to fix it?

Buy better ones... Sounds like the cheap Chinese ones..

Secondly some of the threads of the cheap kind are not "as advertised" Problem is 1/4NPT vs 1/4 British standard..

If you have leaks there (at the threads) a mis-match of thread type is likeky..

perhaps you have pressure coming from the wrong side? try flipping them around.

thanks RWB500 that fixed the problem. couldn't see the arrows on the solenoid in the poor light of the basement.

They won't seal internally if the water is pushed through in the wrong direction.
