10 salty gallons.

i would not have put sand in the fuge...that appears to be a very low flow fuge, and it is fed dirty water from the tank, you are going to have piles of poop settling out in there, and a tonne of nitrate problems to go with it...

as for your foaming rock tower, you have a air water drain that also has a Y fitting in it that adds considerably more turbulence to the drain...and now you are splashing this air filled water all over a pile of rocks...it is certainly going to foam up, you are basically creating a very primitive skimmer out of your rock tower...

i like the rest of the setup though...looking good.

I am going to be redoing the system shortly to upgrade to a 20high and a taller stand. When I do that, I am going to have to redo most of the plumbing. First thing on my list is to feed the fuge from the return pump instead. That way I won't have all that junk in it from the tank. And the rock pile stopped foaming. I just slowed the flow down a bit.

good job on the build :)

Thanks man.:)

Nice tank I'm doing something simular. Mine goes from dt to live rock bin then to a dsp with cheato then skimmer to return, and I run a float switch for ato with a powerhead. I add alk calcium to my ato resivoir you should do the same. keeps the ph at 8.1 and cal and alk consistent as well as salinity.

Not a bad idea. Don't need that now as there is really nothing in the tank, and I am planning a switcharoo here soon. But definitely something to look at for the future.
