100 degrees water change?

Hey everyone I might have a problem. I was making water last night in my 55 gallon drum and my heater went on the fritz some point in the night and my drum water is sitting at 98.8 degrees. Is it still safe to let it cool down and use it to do my water change or do I need to throw it out and make new. It already has the salt in it and has been circulating for 14 hours.

I don't see why letting it cool down would be a problem. The ions in the water don't care about temperature. I would just check your salinity because you probably had some evaporation.

Wow that's hot. I think if that was me my fish and my polyp would be toast. Thankfully it was just in my drum and not my DT.
