Parameters:
I have a QT up and holding a new 'pair' of clowns and 6 small chromis while I work on renovations at my house. I have over 100lbs of LR that's been in a hobbyist induced coma (in a brute) and am beginning to ramp up feedings to help with re-cycling the DT once that's back online (48"x30"x16"T). The sump, filtration & refugium will be in the basement and total planned water volume will be somewhere between 200-300g (want a filtration setup that can ramp up to one day deal with the 300g I have but can't use yet). I will spread out the filtration across an ATS & a skimmer, and may even try a Xenia station as well. I plan on setting up a second QT tank so that when I am putting the clowns and chromis into the DT the second QT is half way through (min. 8 week QT).
SO... I'm trying to narrow my dreaming so that when the time comes to get the second QT up I'll know what I want to put in it! I've done so much dreaming already and created and revised so many fish lists that at this point I'm back to square one.
RIGHT NOW I'm thinking of a modern, minimally scaped (or at least not overcrowded with LR) tank with a SSB that is perhaps dominant in anemones. I also really like the idea of a 3-fer harem of flame angels, but am mildly concerned about the physical dimensions of the tank being enough (water Q should be fine). But that's just brainstorming this minute... so I ask you, what would YOU stock in this setup??
