Right now i have my tank, AC powerhead, ac filter, a heater, and 25g of instant ocean. Heres where i need help. How much salt do i pour in? I plan to mix it in the tank. And how much water do i need to change a week? 1 or two gallons? I will post pictures if they are needed.

Since there is nothing in your tank yet it should be ok to mix it in the tank. Add 1/2 a cup per gallon of water. Add more salt/fresh water as needed. But once you have stuff in the tank you can't mix the salt in there.

I change 1g a week, but this week I changed 2.

How much water you change will depend partly on how many fish and other waste producers you have, and to some extent the amount of live rock/biological filtration available.

Take pictures if you can.

Good luck.

you need to pick up a hydrometer(or refracto if you got the $ to spend)to measure you salinity, this is just something you have to have.... going by 1/2 cup of salt per gallon can be tricky

i would have to agree with Rosseau. how much water you change depends on your tank. i dont believe there's a set rule saying you have to change so and so amount of water every week. im personally a LAZY person and sometimes go about 2 months without doing any water change on my 12 gallon nano. I do make sure that my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels remain at zero. do what is neccessary to keep your fishes and corals happy. wheather that's WC every week or every few weeks-months like a lazy person such as myself.

personally i believe you need to stop for just a bit and read about the basics first. You should get an idea of what to do or what will happen before it happens. this will save you TONS of money.
