$110.00 for flame angel!!!!

I'd blame "Tanked" as it seems that every single one of their builds has a Flame Angel in it and they ways show a zoomed in view of them adding it to the tank.

"Sure you can tell yourself that all you want and for the most part it may be true." wow, so you are saying dd doesn't really do what they say??? so they have been lying to us or falsely advertising what they do??? Not only do they get the nicest livestock around but they typically get first pick from most wholesalers and they do an outstanding job with their qt protocol..many of us know Kevin and his crew and it is not uncommon to get calls from them saying they are keeping the fish longer in qt than expected for observation or just to make sure all is good...those of us that do know better do qt all our dd goods and dd is the first to say any livestock they sell should really go thru additional qt once the customer receives...knowing that a fish like a ch was caught with care by a top collector, decompressed properly, went thru a rigorous qt regimen, and is eating and healthy is wonderfully reassuring...having lived in Hawaii and seeing how some divers/collectors catch their fish in an ugly manner and seeing the horrible conditions of some of their holding facilities was eye opening to me...

One of the main reasons that I am willing to buy from DD is that they offer one of the best guarantees in the hobby. 14 days no questions asked. I recently just bought a potters angel from DD, he was 89.99 + 35 for shipping. I used a credit I had and ended up paying $23. Even with the credit I had, that fish ended up costing me $125. Now knowing that fish wholesales for around $25-$35 was a hard pill to swallow. But also knowing that if anything happens in the first two weeks all I need to do is call them up and they will either replace it or give me a full refund is better than anywhere else I might have bought it cheaper.

No that's not what I'm saying at all. Never once did I say LA is lying to anyone or is misleading anybody in anyway. Calm down, take a deep breath and quit putting words in peoples mouths. As I said I regularly buy from DD and am quite aware of their QT process. In fact I won't buy anything from LA unless it comes from DD for this reason. All I was saying is that you can tell yourself all you want that their QT process anables them to double the price and for some people that's okay. But I don't think their QT process and top specimens are what double the price of certain things. If this were the case then everything would be double price on DD however, I can still get plenty of things on DD for cheaper than the LFS so that logic doesn't apply for all their amimals. There are certain types of fish that they can price higher and they will sell them at that price so they do. A crosshatch is a prime example. I don't blame them, I'd do the same thing. But a QT process doesn't warrant making a $400 fish an $800-1k fish. It's just my opinion. I'm very happy with the crosshatch I got from LFS for half the price that looks just as good as any other CH I've seen. I've always been very pleased with my orders from DD and I'm sure going forward I will continue to be pleased. As will the rest of us. also DD isn't the only ones who charge this much for certain fish. If you look at NYAquatics and Bluezoo they charge the same if not more than DD without all the QT work for some of these fish. The vendors know they are selling nationally to thousands of people who don't have access to LFS who can get these types of specimens so they know they can price them at that and they will sell.
