120 SPS Circulation Pump Recommendations

Hi, I have a 120 SPS tank (all frags at moment) and have two pumps for circulation, one is a Tunze at 1700 GPH and the second is a Korilia mag 6 at 2200 GPH, I am thinking of moving them from the left/right sides and putting them on back glass.

Looking at buying either a set of 2 the Korilia 7 at 2700 or the 8 model at 3250 GPH and putting them on left/right sides with a wave maker and the other two pumps on back glass.

Wil this be enough flow or what do you guys think will work great. let me know, the sale on Korilia ends Monday and cannot buy Tunze or Vortech budget wise.

I think you know the answer to this already, buy what you can afford. If the new set up, whether it is maxi-jets, vortechs, tunzesa or whatever. As long as you do your research and calculate how much flow you need, your good.

I would go with the model 8 and do as you said. Remove the Tunze for now and use the other Korilia on the back wall. That should be good with random flows.

I to have a 120 and think that the mag 8's will be to much flow, I currently have 3x 1600 gph ph's on a wave maker and a mag 12 return and have tons flow. I'd go with the mag 7s with a good return pump.
