Yall I need some help

I have a 125 gallon AGA with custom stand and canopy for sell now I guess.

I filled it with water from the hose today. When I walk by the water moves from front to back in the tank. Not jump up in down in front of it....JUST WALK BY IT!

The stand is built to hold up a house, out of 2x6's and 2x4's with plywood on the inside for flex purposes. My last tank was on a slab so I had no problems. I am on crawl space now. I am not afraid of it falling over really. You would hafta push it to make it fall but I don't like the fact that the water moves when I WALK BY IT. I have a pretty heavy dog likes to run around from time to time and he might knock it over. Wife says I can't get rid of the dog so the tank might hafta go.

I braced the floor is three spots with floor jacks and 2x6's. two of the jacks under the floor are spread across three of the floor joist, one of the jacks is only spread across two because of coper pipe that is under my house that is in the way. The tank is sitting on two joist and it runs the length of the joist. There isn't a wall in my house were I could sit it so it would sit on more than two..STUPID FIRE PLACE IS IN THE WAY

Does anyone else have a tank on crawl space? If so how are you bracing it? Does it slosh water when you walk by?

Would be intersted in a swap for a smaller tank, I would like to have a corner tank. I would fell more confortable.

This system includes a
125 AGA with 500 watts halides F-Can ballast. Overflow kits, plumbing etc.....
40 gallon long sump with fuge, and possibly an Octopus skimmer.
Custom canopy that hinges the entire front of the tank. Black acrylic backing for the tank, black stand and canopy.
I can send pictures if intersted. EVERYTHING IS BRAND NEW.

We've got a 190 and a 225 over a crawl space. We got a guy to go under the house and put a support under each place when we got them. Floor doesn't move now and it's been 7 years.

I have a 75, 120, 15, and 24 going over a crawl space... But I have hardwood floors too, so that might help make it more sturdy... Check your floor joists and make sure you're not running lengthwise over them... But really it isn't hard to jack up some supports... You can also add sister joists, or cross frame them to add stability... :) Just a consideration...

It is running the length of my floor joist.....
The tank is sitting on two of them....

Under the tank i have mounted three floor jacks that have 2x6 braces the cover three floor joists, (the two the tank is sitting on, and one in front of the tank.) So I have braced my floor but things are still moving.

If its possible to run them across the floor joists instead of down the length, that might improve matters... :) Also if you have carpet, I think things will settle over time and you shouldn't have as much wobble...

Hmmm, Don had his braced to the wall for stability too if you think that might be an issue??? His tank wasn't going anywhere... lol ;)

So I have braced my floor but things are still moving.

If it's still moving it's not properly braced. If it were braced you could drive your car over it.

I got alot of the shakeyness out of it today with 4 elbow brackets attached to the floor and I tied it to the wall behind it....NOW... I am trying to get it level....The right side and middle is level but the right side isn't....When I fill the tank up to the black trim on top on the right side it still shows about 1/4" from being full on the left....Is this that big of a problem? When I put the level on the left side the bubble shows level but the it is just a bit past the left line not even a 1/4 of the way....I have always heard a tank needs to be level, but does it need to be perfect?

My tank has been probably 1/4" off-level, front to back, for years now with no problems. I think it depends a bit on how the tank is constructed, though. Mine is Euro-braced top and bottom.
