why is my gbta all shrivled up it was doing fine for the first 4 days then it started moving now it all within its self idk whats goin on my other nem is doing just fine checked water everythings normal what is going on .
Is it's mouth gaping? They deflate sometimes and that is normal.
As long as it hasn't expelled zoox and its mouth is tight I wouldn't worry too much. The biggest hurdle in keeping them is acclimation; they are comprised mostly of the water they live in so the slightest change ticks them off. They also aren't very smart, they do move in search of optimal flow and light but when newly introduced they sometimes choose conditions they aren't ready for or acclimated to - self induced shock in a way.
ok guys i looked in the tank today and heys open biger then ever probly a good 6 inches across. mouth is open just a tad but nothing major. I it seems that when he deflated he finaly atached to a good spot and is solid idk maybe that was just his way of getin a good grip lol. hope he stays where he is and doesnt scare me like that anymore ahhaha.
