12g lighting mods

I am planning to cut my lid on my 12g nano it is not the deluxe.I also have a 10 gallon aquarium lide that i bought a while back. the idea is to cut the nano lid and let the other light just sit on the front of the tank.Im planning to cut the little lide on the nano to give about 4 inches of open space for the other light. it would be a free mod that will add another 18 watts so ill have 1 24w 50-5- and one 18w 50-50. im not to concerned with the cosmetics of how it will look long as its functional. I will post pics later to show progress. but does anyone seen or have pics of any lighting mods homeade stuff i know nanocustoms has it all but im broke.thanks for any advice and pics.

So i got my lights working and i was wondering on a light combo i now have a 24w 5050 and a flouresent tube 5050 that is 180or 20 watts now i think the 50 50 means 50% 10000k and 50%antic 03 05 thats were im confused i need new bulbs. i like the antic look the blue what 2 bulbs should i get i was thinking a 24w antic and 10000 or 14000 tube the for the 18watt. any suggestions. thanks
