12g NC Problem!!!

I recently installed a bakpak protein skimmer i had laying around, on my 12g nc. i figured i'd put it to use. Besides the microbubbles i notice that a lot of dibre (spelling?) getting tossed around everywhere. fyi: i have the matt gecko hood which allows for the open space in the back.

i am running an mj900 for return and i also just got another mj900 for the pump for the bakpak skimmer because i thought the rio was the problem. i have checked both pumps thorougly. this has been going on now for about 3 days....

Chamber1: LR rubble with the skimmer return on top
Chamber2: Filter Sponge on the bottom which i recently removed thinking it was also the problem (wrong) *Now it just has the pump for the skimmer.
Chamber3: heater and return pump.

i'm thinking maybe i damaged something in the process of putting in the skimmer, and i just noticed that 2 of the 3 chambers are not completly sealed against the last back wall. could this be the problem? maybe the return for the skimmer pushed the false wall to much breaking the seals letting the chambers leak into others?

i have also tried completly removing the skimmer but it does not seems to help which further makes me believe that maybe its the chambers not complelty sealed...

any ideas and comments are greatly appreciated, please help!

If your problem is debris getting tossed around the tank, could it be that the skimmer (which I assume has been sitting aound dry) has just been put back into use and debris that was growing on the inside of the skimmer has come loose and been sent into circulation? If so, youshould take the skimmer off and clean it.
