Im pretty sure XM is higher in Par.
really, but it's a 20K vs 14K?

BTW
Link seems messed up, it won't let me pick type of bulb

For the 250w SE bulbs on an icecap ballast, it was a PAR of 69 for the Hammy and 53 for the XM

The CCT of both lamps is unmeasureable--ie off the chart, so even the putative "14k" Hammy is no where near that....I believe the upper end of the CCT meter is in the 20k range so...

This BTW is common. While "10k" lamps are often at least somewhere in the ballpark of 10k, most lamps labelled 14k and up are off the meter in true color temp

Noone has formally tested the DE Hammy near as I know. Empirically I've used it berfore. It was very, very similar to the Arcadia 14k. I would imagine that the PAR on DE hammy 14k is much higher than the XM DE 20k (that bulb is WEAK). However, to me anyways, the Hammy 14k is a neither here nor there bulb. It's not a "blue" bulb, so it doesn't give the visual effect of "blue" bulbs. For a "white" bulb, it ain't all that bright. So....
