Just set up my 150 gallon deep dimension right now I am running a 250 watt mh with a large lumen brite reflector but it seems to give a spot light effect. Now that this tanks been out a while whats everyone using

I already have tons of them just wondering what every ones using I have luminarc reflectors too large and mini

Lumenbrights have a smaller spread angle, so they're typically installed much higher above the tank. How high do you have it?

I used to run the large lumenbrite pendant over my 150 deep dimensions at about 15" off the water and got a pretty good spread. Started with a 400w and down sized to a 250w and still worked good. I also had 3 PowerBrite LED's on the ceiling beaming at a 45 degree angle to go right under the hanging pendant. Worked out nice and did not get a lot of light bleed on the side glass so the algae was not too bad.

After looking I think I am more like 12 inches off the surface. I love the look of a canopy but they can be a pain. I switched to the large luminark and its perfect. Randy what ballast did you use i am running the lumitek. Also anyone got a radion they want to sell so I can check the colors

Yeah, lumenarchs definitely have a larger spread. Jeff, do you mean a radion LED fixture to compare colors? Or an HQI ballast that runs radium bulbs?
