150g stocking questions...Emperor Angel

Hey all just need some input. I started a FOWLR tank and am maintaing it for my Girlfriends parents. The whole reason for this upgrade is she had a 55g with a 5" clown trigger and that was just pure sadness. Anyways Friday we added a dogface puffer, and thats all thats in the tank (except 2 blue damsels).

They are really wanting a Emperor angel, but I have read different things some say they are pretty easy to keep, some say not. As long as it's nutrition is good shouldn't one be ok?

The emperor, and maybe another fish or 2 would be all we put in the tank.

The tank is a 150g 6ft tank with a 55g sump/fuge with a super skimmer 220 and mag 7, 2 seio 1500's for flow, and 150lbs of live rock for added bio filtration. Also for lighting is 2x36" 96w pcs.

What would be a couple more fish to add after the emperor if that even works out?

I was thinking maybe a blue cheek trigger and a yellow or hippo tang, what do you think?

The dogface, clown trigger, and the emperor would all be in the 150? The emperor is going to get huge. As you know the trigger and the dogface are messy. What is your maintainence schedule going to be like? I would not add anything else to the tank

emps can be hard to care for cuz they get aggressive and get HLLE easily. I think a purple tang would be nice along with a harlequin tusk

What would be the requirements for the Emperor? They really want one, but if it's a big no then they will understand, but I think with the emperor they may not even want any other fish...

I really like the tusk, but don't know about them. It's not my money so I can't really just get anything you know what I mean. The purple tank would be very cool and I think they would like that.

I will be doing 20g+ water changes per week sucking all the crud off the bare bottom, along with the skimmer and fuge with chaeto It has been keeping trates at 0 for a month or so now...
I know time will tell, but...

I have a 140 with similar setup. I have 22 fish in the tank and do a 20% water change once a month.

nitrates are always 0 thanks to about 3 cubic feet of cheato. in a 60 gal sump.

Wow!

I just got an emp that was in the store for over a month. Eats Green 40 flake, shredded shrimp, shredded nori, and this frozen sponge formula for angels. If you can get one to eat all of that, you'll be fine. Mine is just under 5" and in a 135. I love including pics, so here it is: You will notice the showing of the lateral line and a few pits on head. Not sure if it is HLLE, but it was not being fed sponge at the store.....that would be enough to cause it I believe...just feed it right.

I also had an emp. and as far as the aggressiveness of the fish...you have a Clown Trigger that is as aggressive as they come you will be fine...If you get a Juv. make sure to feed it the special angle frozen food along with Nori to make sure of a color change will occur. these fish do not always change from there juv. color...But other than that I love mine..
