I want to have a variety of SPS in the tank and I think by having the 150w MH pendant the SPS will have the best environment to induce brilliant coloring. I did have an anemone in there at one point but i decided that it took up too much room and i would rather have that space for corals.
I think you would be better off by hanging the light from the ceiling or something else as it would not block the light to the outer edge of the tank like that would stuff does. Also, is that sand pushed around because of you flow. Maybe you should get some hydor flos for you returns so you dont get any deadspots. Just some suggestions

Henry22 - Thanks for your suggestions but believe me, there are no dead spots in my tank. There's 700 gph pushin' through that tank and I'm very happy with the random currents that have been produced as a result of so much current. However, I have given up on a way to keep the sand in the corner's because there's just too much current in those areas.
mr pink floyd - Thankyou, and yes, your eyes do not decieve you. That is styrofoam holding up the light. I realise that is possibly the most ghetto thing to do, but i can't suspend the light from the ceiling because i live in an apartment and my ceiling is concrete, and therefore, incapable of being drilled into. I'm working on building a stand that comes up from behind the tank and arches over to suspend the light. I can't enclose it in a hood for heat issues but if anyone has any other suggestions I'ld love to hear them.
