p.s so far my favorite is the torch with the frogspawn a close second:rollface:
o.k guys(and gals) my rock and glass is REALLY turning brown (diatom algae?) should I get a blenny or does this stuff get consumed by the tank and rock somehow? my shiny new tank is starting to look like crap . hopefully this is all a good sign? my lights are on for 8-9 hrs a day 96watt qaud.
thnx
p.s none of my animals seem to care, just looks bad.
No, the brown algae is not necessarily a sign of cycling...
nutrients + light = algae.
Test the water of course, but if all is well (no ammonia) add some cleaners (snails and such.) I don't know much about the blenny. You could lower your light time a little to help keep the algae down. Also, do small water changes if your Nitrates >5ppm or Phosphate is showing.
p.s. That xenia will take over your tank if you don't isolate it to a rock or two. If the rock it is on touches any other rocks, it will spread to them.
