175 W double ended mh bulbs?

Does anyone know where I can purchase 175 watt double ended mh bulbs? My current light fixture takes these and I have been unable to find them anywhere online or otherwise. My bulb isn't bad, but I am trying to plan for the future.

Thanks,
Tina

Tina: I'm almost positive that they don't make 175W DE Bulbs. It's either 150 DE, or 250 DE, 175W is Single Ended. When the light is off, look at the bulb it should say on there somewhere.

Thanks to everyone. As a side note, I do NOT recommend the Odyssea light to anyone. I have had nothing but trouble with it and I now believe the ballast may be bad in it. It is less than 6 months old. Anyone know how difficult it is to change the socket so that I can use a single ended bulb?

Thanks again,
Tina

Well the Single ended bulb is bigger so it might not even fit in the fixture. On a side note... the ballast they use is not a true HQI ballast. They are basically overdriving the buld with a 175w se bulb from what i remember. I would get a true 150w HQI ballast from reefgeek and wire that to the fixture, then get any 150w hqi bulb

Thanks for all the advice. Here is what I am doing with this problem:

I placed an order with hellolights.com for a 150/175 W ARO Electronic ballast and an XM XDE 10K bulb. I felt the bulb should be replaced also because the bulb in the fixture is probably as inferior as the ballast and I have noticed the light (before the ballast quit) had become much more yellow than it had been.

Hopefully this set-up will serve me better. It also gave me a chance to order a new pc bulb for my parent's planted tank, hellolights is having a sale. :)

Thanks again,
Tina
