2 Foot Red Monty FS CHEAP

I'm beginning the dismantling of my tank and need to find a home for my huge red monty cap. It is roughly 2' in diameter. $60 takes it. A couple large pieces have broken as I've removed it from the rock but it is mostly whole and the pieces fuse back in in just a couple weeks. If you want to keep it in one piece, a very large container would be required for transport.

I'll try to add photos later...for now here is a link where you can see it before I started removing corals...there is a decent top-down photo on the 2nd page of this thread. It has grown since the photo. :eek1:

Norm - I wish I could. That thing looks amazing. Please don't throw it away. If needed I can put it in my sump for a while but unfortunately that thing is bigger than my display. Yes, my tank is only about a 3rd of my sump volume... so I could only frag it and that would be a shame for a coral that size.
That being said, if you have any frags left after someone takes it, please let me know. -John

Norm,
Do you have a picture of just this coral? The pic in your link looks like it is in multiple vertical layers?

It is really hard to photograph...it is roughly 20" x 24" and I'd say a good 16" tall, maybe taller. I am going from memory as I'm not home right now. The reality is that it could be split to about whatever size you'd want, even shared between multiple people...there is a lot there to work with. I'd prefer not to frag it of course but that beats the alternative.

I've been trading messages with someone about it but it's not a done-deal yet (waiting on a response)...so feel free to speak up if you happen to have interest. Thanks. :fish1:
