2" Maxima

Hi - Thanks for your time.

I've come across a two inch maxima. This would be my first clam. I have a 45 gallon tank, 2 x 250 watt mh. I've been keeping sps, lps, and rbtas for 1.5 years now.

Any concerns getting a clam this small - requires target feeding?
It's from a fellow local reefer - how do I tell if its a healthy specimen?
Is it difficult to remove from his/her tank?
Tips for acclimation?

A two inch clam is right on the edge of requiring target feeding. I think it should be ok w/out it. Make sure that the clam fully extends its mantle when not disturbed. It should react and quickly retract its mantle when the light over it is blocked. Most importantly, the mouth should not appear to be open in a wide gapping manner.
