Have a friend offering me a Midas from a tank they are breaking down. Already have one in QT tank that is much smaller. Will 2 Midas introduced to a 110 DT at the same time do OK together or is that asking for trouble?

I tried it in my 115, They did ok for a while, then the brawl broke out.Had to get rid of the 2nd Midas Blenny.Evidently they really don't like each others presence...I do have a Lawnmower in the tank now with the Midas, they pay 0 attention to each other.

HTH,

Still tempted to try it but will think about it long and hard first. Even fighting fish are hard to catch in a reef tank.

If you do have to catch it, an acrylic catch box, and some food, will be your best friend.I usually catch fish in around less than a minute using that method.

How does everyone feel about mixing blennies with gobies or dragonets?

Say Starry Blenny vs Scooter (Blenny) Dragonet?

TylerSarah,

I don't think you will see much of any Confliction between the Starry, and the Scooter Blenny, they have opposite food interests, that usually the reason that they fight, the other reason being looks, the scooter looks quite a bit different than the starry.Would I try it?Yes.

Oh dear, guess that means the QT will have to go back up (just took it down!). Diver's Den seems like a good place to get a scooter, I'll keep an eye out on there.

I had a starry blenny and a scoot at first. My starry was very interested in the scooter. He would follow him around the tank. Well my scooter decided to carpet surf. So I replaced it with a mandarin.

He did the same thing. Followed him on the sand and would eat sand and kept my sand bed clean.

Really wierd how he was so interested in the dragonettes.
