2 or 3 quick questions on hyposalinity treatment

I've decided to address the ich present on my fish and my DT. I'm going to be going the hypo route and leaving the DT fallow of fish (8 weeks at 1.009, 3 days ramping up to 1.025, and 1 week at 1.025) and had a couple quick questions:
1) I have a hoeven's wrasse that sleeps in the sand; if I put a tupperware container of sand from the DT in the treatment tank, can I expect the ich in the sand to perish during the 8 weeks of hypo?
2) I'll be using a 29-long tank for the hypo treatment; unfortunately fish-wise, I'm now down to just the hoeven's wrasse and a diamond goby (eats pellets and frozen; not worried about him); I'd like to pick up 1-2 more fish from the LFS and toss them in the QT; would the bacteria population in the QT and HOB filter be able to handle my two fish, plus a true perc and a flasher wrasse or would I be pushing my luck?
3) Any other tips or advice?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't buy any new fish until you're sure that you're ich-free. I would never knowingly expose any fish to ich. Ich just isn't 100% curable under the best circumstances. Slow down and proceed slowly. Be sure to have a perfectly calibrated refractometer. An ATO is a big help, Just a minute or two at a SG over 1.009 can ruin treatment.
With just two fish, I'd strongly consider tank-transfer. IMO & IME, its easier and more effective than hypo.

Yes, hypo will kill the free-swimming ich as it emerges from the tupperware.

Thanks for the advice; thinking about it more, I'll go with the tank transfer method. Once I've got the fish ich-free and waiting in the QT, any recommendations for other treatments. I think I'll use some Prazi Pro as a precautionary measure.
