2 QT - Yay or nay?

I have a 20g long and a 10g tank with HOB filters. Should I set one up for fish QT and one up for coral QT? I do have T5HO lighting for the 20g - but just regular florescent for the 10g. Would this work?

20g for fish QT
10g for coral - could use for fish QT only if 20g is being used with medication. Since fish probably don't need T5HO I could use the light for the corals if they need an extended stay. Is it only copper that is dangerous to coral?

Yes those tanks will work great, any medication but a select few will harm coral. Just rinse well with vinegar after treatment and it can still be used for coral/inverts. IMO quarantine tanks are essential for long term success and make for a more enjoyable displat tank.
