2 Seio 1100s for sale

I have two Seio 1100s that I'm not using right now that I would like to get rid of. One of them has a magnet mount that I made instead of the standard suction cups.

I took them out of my tank because they had a tendency to freeze when I turned my pumps off to feed. A vinegar soak always fixed this, and I think it might have been something to do with my water chemistry. They are relatively new; I would say they have about two months use on them apiece.

That said, I don't think I would be comfortable just selling them outright, so I was thinking if anyone was interested in them they could try them out for a month or so and make sure they worked for them, then give me the money when they're satisfied.

They're $62.95 new, so I'm thinking about $40 apiece, or $75 for the pair.

Thanks,
Dave

Hey Dave, I think i might want to try those Seios out, Shivaji had said that 850's would be fine, but 1100's would be more flow.
Let me know when we can get together.

hey Steve,
Sorry I'm just now responding, I didn't see your post. I should be pretty free in the evenings this week, let me know what would be a good time.

Zq sounds good. Maybe Wednesday? That'll give me time to find all the parts. Plus, maybe they'll have a new shipment in.

man Steve, I'm sorry I keep missing these posts. For some reason it's not giving me emails for this thread. Anyhow, I'm at work right now, and will be here until 5. I'll try you on your cell.

No problem, just for curiosities sake, how do you like them and are they really worth it? I mean are they good and reliable like MJ or similar maybe? And why are people making a big deal about these little pumps? thanks in advance.

In my opinion, not nearly as reliable as an MJ, and that's why I got rid of them. Last I talked to Steve, he loved them though, and I'm glad they're working out for him.

If you read the many threads that are out there on Seios, you will find very mixed opinions. The concept is great (more, dispersed flow) but in practice, they just didn't work too well for me, while others have had a good experience.
