20 gallon CuttleFish?

Are cuttlefish hard to keep and is there anyway one could go in a 20? I figure no Octo could stay in a 20 so thats why I didnt ask for that lol. Thanks, just wanting some info on these very interesting Cephalopods.

make sure you get a bandensis if you do decide to put a cuttle in a 20 gallon, they only grow to be about 4 inches. one would be your max though...may want to think about a larger tank in general if you want a cephalopod. good luck!

i wouldn't put a cuttle in a 20, you could do a pygmy octo though, maybe even an O. bimaculoides <--great pets! Just make sure it's escape proof.

Put a 2 lb creature (that produces as much ammonia as a 6 pound fish) in a 20 gallon tank. Great idea.

Even a dwarf octo--which is a lot more of a gamble than a bimac--would be a bit cramped in a 20. Check out this article on dwarf cuttlefish.

It will answer just about every question you can think of!

the minimum for a bimac would be 55 gallons....but you should go as big as you can. i'm not saying it's a good idea to put a cuttle in a 20 gallon, i'm just saying that if you're going to, a bandensis is a better choice.

Tanks are cheap relative to everything else you have to buy. If you're still gathering equipment, don't rule out upgrading the 20 to a 30 or 38 for a pygmy cuttle.

You must have a 100,000g tank or so then right? I also have a 10g nano reef that looks better than most people's 100g. Guess that is no good either. I dont want to start an argument, I am just letting the person know it can be done. Sorry bub.
