Hi all,

Just wanted to share my reef tank on here in the hope of taking it to another level with perspectives from a bigger audience and hope to pick up some useful info in the process. Thanks to RC and the internet we've all learned heaps in this crazy, amazing hobby. Shout out to the chaps at my local reef club in the UAE that make reefing even better.

A bit of background info...

The tank was set up 3 years ago. The tank is a custom made aquarium measuring 1500mm x 700mm x 600mm with low iron glass on the front panel.
Total water volume approx 200G. I call it Miracle Reef because this tank has gone through all sorts that can crash it from power outages, floods, accidental overdose of chemicals, weeks old skimmate overflowing, and above all my own neglect due to a stressful work life yet it still stands. I think the tank seems to do a lot better honestly when I dont mess with it :) Maybe Im onto something.

Nothing fancy in the setup or design & I prefer it that way since when Im out travelling, whoever looks after the tank ought to understand whats going on.

The sump is 100cm.

The tank is lit by 2 x Orphek PR-156XP LED's.

Being primarily a LPS infested mixed reef with some sps Flow is handled by 2 MP40's wES. Will be adding a third because the corals have grown quite a bit.

Basic Sketch...Nothing fancy like the genius builds we see on this site but functional enough. :D
Drain is 1.5" and Return is 1"
