Event planning is well underway and I have several exciting announcements to make.

First, we are very happy to announce that
Premium Aquatics will be our Platinum Sponsor!!!
In addition, the following vendors have committed to attending:

Coral Ranch
Dirk's Drygoods
IceCap and Steven Pro
Midwest Coral
Paul's Corals
wet thumb frags
YZ Reef

Stay tuned for announcements about additional vendors and prizes.

The swap will be held on Saturday May 1st from noon to 4 p.m.
at The Northside K of C Club
2100 East 71st Street
Indianapolis, IN 46220

That is just west of the intersection of 71st and Keystone Avenue. This venue is considerably larger and should allow us to comfortably accomodate the additional vendors we're planning and have room for those buying and selling bagged livestock to congregate.

Details about reserving table space will follow in the next couple of weeks.

The raffle prizes are starting to pile up. Here's a sampling of what you can win.

Flamethrower chalice frag

Marineland 60 gallon cube Super System
5-stage RO/DI system
Air, Water & Ice $50 gift certificate
Vortech
ReefGeek 2 x 54 watt T-5 retro

plus pumps, poweheads, skimmers, books and much more.

I'll update as I have more information.

There are 20 spots available for hobbyist that would like to set up a tank at the frag swap. Each spot is 1/2 of a 6-foot table and the cost is $10 for members, $15 for non-members (includes admission).

You will need to bring your own extension cord and powerstrip. Please limit your electrical usage to one heater, powerhead and light. Metal halide lighting puts a lot of strain on the system and we'd prefer you not use them if you have other options.

You can reserve your table by paying for it on Paypal. Pay treasurer@indmas.org.

It's first come, first serve and I'll post on the INDMAS site as I receive each payment, so be sure to include your screenname, and which website if not INDMAS, when you make your payment.

We will also have several tables available for those who would rather bring bagged livestock. These tables are not reserved, but we ask that you not bring more than 12 bagged items.

Just received the Marineland 60 gallon cube--WOW is this nice. It's a 24" x 24" reef-ready tank with a black Monterey stand. This prize was provided by United Pet Group.

We have also received raffle prizes from the following sponsors:

Hamilton Lighting
Aqua Euro USA
autotopoff.com
DR Instruments
Phyto
Rod's
EcoSystems
Ice Cap
ReefGeek
Bulk Reef Supply
Omega Sea
Air, Water & Ice
Danner Mfg.

I'm also happy to say that there will be 2 more local companies present at the swap:

Simply Saltwater
Reef Filtration

We look forward to having Brad and Luke join us at the swap.

Hi, can you give me the INDMAS web url? And how can I become a member? Thanks

Hi DJPB. We're at www.indmas.org. There's a link at the top of the home page called Subscriptions that will link you to paypal. You're welcome to attend a meeting before joining and can pay dues at the meeting if you prefer. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Katrina

We're going to raffle this Flamethrower frag at the swap:

Raffle tickets are $1 each or 12 for $10.

You must be present to win.

LMAS will be there, probably at least 5 or more members. Look forward to the swap, always a good time.

Is there a list of stuff people are bringing? I know I got to reserve some stuff a few years ago, just wanted to gauge what'll be there.

There are some listings starting to pop up on fragswapper dot com. You can actually reserve items listed there.

How about this for a great raffle prize:

This is a 60-gallon Marineland Super System and it is loaded. You could take it home after the swap and have water in it before you go to bed that night. It includes the tank, stand, sump, return pump, heater, all the plumbing parts, glass cover, and flourescent light strips. This is a really, really nice looking tank. Retails for about $1,400.

Everyday until the day of the swap, we'll be announcing the prizes for the raffle on the indmas.org website. In addition to the flamethrower chalice frag and the 60-gal Marineland Cube, the following have been announced:

Bubble Gum Monster chalice frag with 4 eyes!!--that's a colony, not a frag!!
Blue Wave 2 250w MH ballast donated by Sunlight Supply
Efflo frag donated by TYRYFIN
Reeflo Snapper Hybrid pump donated by Reeflo
ReefKeeper Lite plus donated by INDMAS
SCW 160 Cone skimmer donated by Reef Filtration
Reef Fanatic 120w LED pendant with timer donated by INDMAS

I'll check back in to update this list in a few days, or if you want to keep tabs on a daily basis, go to the website and look at the thread in the Meeting & Frag Swap forum called "So you want to win?"
