Jeremy,

Can you let us swap virgins know a little about how a swap works and what prices we can expect to pay for a typical frag? Are there fish as well?

Usually people bring just frags, I have seen fish before.

Think of it like a flea market. People will set up booths with there frags, corals, inverts, drygoods, whatever. Prices as cheap as $5 can be seen.

Some commercial vendors will be set up selling items as well.

You are encouraged to bring your own stuff to swap or sell as well.

If you would like space let me know.

We also have items that are raffled off during troughout the day.

If you are in this hobby, you must come!

you will have a great time, meet lots of people in the hobby, and may get some good deals!

Greg - Don't be put off by the term frag SWAP -- there's a lot of swapping going on, of course, but mostly it's a buy and sell environment. Great way to meet people and learn about everything. Plan to spend time just hanging around, listening and talking - it's a very friendly environment.

i can't wait to go. I hope to meet a lot of new people. My name is Wayne and in pretty new to the hobby (5 months) but im crazy about it. I was the new guy at the lmas meeting the other night (nice group and will be joining at the frag swap). im hoping to find some good deals.

if you want to know what tank i have. its a small cheap 14 gal nano, but its pretty cool for now (5 months in), im sure i will have something bigger very soon. here is a picture of my cube. enjoy

Well, it was nice to meet everyone.

Thanks Wayne

What time can vendors/hobbyists set up?

Edit: Also did you know your forum is set up to not allow new registrations? I think I noticed that last year when we were trying to find out swap information.
