Hi all! Since a lot of this is DIY, I figured I should start a build thread:)

Tank: 20H drilled for CL. I also cut a weir in the top for an external overflow, and I have built that box. This weekend I'm going to test for leaks (I'm nervous!!)

CL: will be plumbed to an OM squirt with two outlets. The pump will be Eheim 1262.

Sump: Will be a 10g tank (as soon as I find one; might have to buy it new:/) I will partition the sump either with glass or the movable divider (haven't decided.) One part will be for the skimmer, one for the return, one for chaeto.

Lighting: 2 bulb T5 24" fixture by Nova Extreme. Plus actinic LED and LED moonlight.

Rock: 25lb fiji premium from Drs F&S is currently curing.

Other: -
-skimmer: Tunze Nano Doc.
-Chiller: JBJ arctica 1/10hp.
-Doser for 2-part is a peristaltic pump,
-top off is JBJ ATO, and
-Fish-to-be are my black & white Ocellaris and orange Ocellaris pair.

Progress: Currently I'm building the canopy for the tank and I'm waterproofing the stand. Well, more accurately, I'm trying to cut an accurate 45 degree angle without a proper work bench; it's not working out:/

I just bought a little microSD for my phone so I'll take lots of pix this weekend and post them up by Monday. In the middle of all of this I'm also moving; whew, hectic!

I'm really excited about this one- it's my first drilled system!!! Also, I'll have lots of room inside with the external overflow box (not to mention, of course, lack of pumps inside!

Input always welcome.

Sounds good Angela! I'm looking forward to the pics, and i am all too familiar with trying to make miter cuts with a circular saw and 2 sawhorses! Not all that easy, but it can be done. I've made about 4 boxes/cabinets for storage around out house, and 2 of them all have 45 degree mitered edges that I made with my circular saw and a straight edge. They are very simple and basic, but the mitered edges look so much better than if you don't do it! The only thing that I would keep an eye on is having a pair of Clowns, and one single. There may be some terratorial issues down the road. Get the pics coming!

Yeah, Jim, it's a project for sure. I'm gonna build a little guide today- I'll let you know how it goes:)

Oh, no, it's just the two clowns- one orange, one black- they are a pair. Sorry for the poor explanation:p
