21 gal corner overflow plumbing?

I am connecting at 21 gallon tank with a corner overflow to my existing 65 gallon display. The tank came with a three-quarter inch and 1 inch predrilled corner. I am looking for this to be quiet and simple,durso?herbie? No room to drill a third hole and I'd rather not have an over the back . Any advice appreciated
