215 mixed reef build

So this has been a progress that started about 2 months ago. I picked up the 215 gal tank which measures 72"Lx30"Tx24"D. I will be using my current tank that is a 100 gal that measures 48"Lx20"Tx24"D. I made the stand with a 6" lip on the sides and front to give some extra room for the sump. I have a GenX-PCX40 as my return on the 100 right now but it's cranked back half way. Thinking if this opened all the way it should be sufficient for a return on the 215. My question is what do you guy think I should use for the closed loops. Was thinking 2 of the Reeflo Blowhole 1450 on 6 hour cycles. Just want to make sure I have enough flow so I don't have to add power heads. I have build this in my garage because my lease is up in June and still might move but don't know yet. Once the rent has been dropped the tank will be moved into the house and the set up will start. I also put together about 100 lbs of rock to make a piece for an over hang. Here are some pictures.

I made the overflow and still going to add a piece of molding around the bottom of the tank where it meets the travartine. I'm looking at doing LED's and building a floating hood that will match the stand.

those dimensions are of a 220g, same as my tank, some even call it a 225g....and your throwing me off wit dimensions. usually its LxWxH...... im a fan of the rock that you have posted. I went with one whole rock wall on my 220, so id like to see how you set yours up..

did you mean your using that tank now then moving to the bigger tank? or you using this as your sump?

overflow looks good and a floating canopy is a shweet idea. not really seen often but such a great look to the system

as far as the closed loop, seem like you already have a good idea to go with...

Yes, the 100 is up and running now and will be upgrading to the 215/220/225 LOL had to do it. I love that tanks have so many different sizes when they are the same dimension.

The blowholes may not be enough for your closes loop, depends on the amount of head you have. I had 4ft of head, one intake and to loc line returns (closed loop). It was very little flow, very little !!!!

newreefer92: Not enough flow is what I'm worried about with the blowholes. Might have to go with a bigger pump. Trying to be power efficient and save money. Thanks about the overflow, bending acrylic took a lot longer then I thought it would take with a heat gun. Spent a good 2-3 hours on it.

Yes I would definitely go with a big pump for your application. I have yet to perfect the acrylic bending without a huge oven!!!

So the 100 is out and the new one is in. Still need two 1.5" bulkheads to complete the setup. But it's in and looks huge.

So it started to get water today. Also put my hulk rock I cemented together in.
