So to make a long story short, I had decided to setup a 75gal saltwater tank about 4 years ago and after 4 months and $3000 i closed it down and gave up. Now i have decided to try again bc i just really love the ocean, corals and fish. So a found a great deal on a 24gal nanocube with about 20lb of live rock, the black sand, few corals and a clown fish. The tank was very mature of 4 years when i bought it. We broke it down and i moved everything and set it up at my place and kept all the water. I let it run for about a week then i decided to change out the live rock for some premium rock from a local store that was covered in bright purple coroline algae. I let them test my water to be sure it would be safe and a good idea to buy a couple corals. The said i was good to go. So i bought a combo rock with zoas and another coral called neon green goniopora, i also purchased a clean up crew. Everything was looking good. Did a water change. Decided to get a couple fish so i got a blue tang and another tang he is like tan, blue and yellow. Than i noticed a couple snails starting dying, then the emerald crabs, then some more sails, and now all the clean up crew had died except for 2 of the large snails. I test the water and its been reading about the same thing even after water changes of 5 gallons. High PH- 7.4-7.8 Ammonia- 0 Nitrite- 0 Nitrate between 10-20. I even cut back on feeding. I use RO water from the store every water change with red sea salt. Now let me throw in a couple more problems lol. I have well water at my house that has high iron. I came across a deal on a 125gal setup and came with a bulk reef 5 stage rodi unit. So i purchased the setup and decided to try my luck on making my own water. I made 5 gallons which took like 15 hours, mixed red sea, did my water change, woke up the next day and the tips on my neon green goniopora are like stiff looking and now all flowing around like they always do. And another concern is that the blue tang had some small white spots on it and they went away and then came back a little and now i dont see any again and i know they said it could be from stress or ich. Im going crazy. Please help lol.. Thank you.
