Well I got a new 24 gallon Aquapod with 70 watt Metal Hailides. I was wondering what small fish would be best. I would like to stick to the small size, like small gobies as I think it will make the tank more fun to watch.
Holiday Greetings & Merry Christmas!
For a 24g Aquapod there are a pretty wide variety of nano reef fish you could put in. Gobies are always a great choice (clown gobies, neons, watchman, shrimp gobies etc.). Depending on what type of fish you want-peaceful/aggressive, colorful etc there are different choices. My personal favorite aside from gobies, are the ocellaris clownfish. They have such a great personality, great color, and are very hardy. With a 24g aquarium you can probably put a mix of about 4-5 fish safetly depending on the species etc. (small/big fish). It also depends on how often you do water changes also...the more often you do water changes, the bigger bio-load your tank will be able to hold. Just remember to add slowly (1 or 2 fish at a time-MAX) and be patient. If you rush, you will run into problems down the road. Keep us updated with tank pics etc, I would love to see em' Merry Christmas again..hope this info helped!
