I am looking at purchasing one of these all in one systems and I wanted some feedback. It might be a little bit early to judge the aquapod but lets give it a try. I am not really familiar with either one of these systems or what they come with. It should be interesting to see which system comes out on top.

I got the 24 Aquapod with the PC's in December and like it so much I just got one for my office with the MH lighting. I like the MH version better because you can put the fission skimmer in the back without any problem.

I like the dimensions of the the Pod. Plus theres the MH option.

I am also looking to decide between these models. I would like to go with the stock lighting (pc), so in my opinion the deciding factor will be which tank has better lighting.

I know the aquapod claims 50% higher lumen output, but I never trust an advertisement. It's my understanding that the aquapod has better reflectors, which may make for a higher light output.

Has anyone actually measured the lumen output of their aquapod and nanocube? I'd like to know.

Thanks

Thanks for your replies everyone. It seems at the moment that the aquapod is winning by a 12 to 6 margin.

I should have explained this earlier but I am very unfamiliar with either one of these systems. If you have purchased either system it would really help to know why you chose what you chose. Thanks everyone.

I like my Aquapod, but if you add some extra flow, just make sure you don't fill it to much as the water will kinda leak under the plastic in the front right or left corner. I was fine and then I added the MJ900 in there and with the extra flow the top water ripples a little as the MJ900 stream hits the front glass and it was causing a little water to come down the front right corner. It was not really noticable either, until I had a little puddle under the tank... I just don't fill it all the way to the top.

I have 3 fish and an Eel in there. It is my aggresive aquarium with a pretty tame Snowflake Eel, a Blue Velvet Damsel, a Domino Damsel and the Purple Pseudochromis. I have had the Eel for 2 years, where he use to live in my 90g mixed reef with Clowns, Mandarin, Blennies, royal gramma and other's.
