240 possible stocking revisions & tank update

Hey guys,

Alot of you know how I have struggled trying to decide what to put in my 240..... well 10 months in, and here's a breif synopsis and an indication of where it is going:

The LR went in on May 1st, 2007. Over the following 10 months, a good few fish went in along with clean up crews and some sps corals. About 7 weeks ago, I introduced what was suppsoed to be teh last two fish > a powder blue tang and a naso tang. In spite of what I thought was a thorough q-tine period, ich some how got through the net. Cutting a long story short, since then all my fish have been in hypo - my LR has been "cooking" teh decision to go bare bottom was made, and while I was at it I fianlyl deceided tat the SPS game was not for me........ rather than kick the corals altogether, I got some softies..... apart from that..... I'M BACK!

So..... current fish list is:
6.5" Emeror Angel
4"Blonde Naso Tang
3.5 to 4" Powder Blue Tang
3.5" Purple Tang
3.5" Yellow Tang
4 no. Lyretail Anthias (1 male)
3" Orange Spot Goby

Current Short List for additions in about 8 weeks time (to be bought next week and q-tined):

Pair of Blue Chin Triggers (not coz they are reef safe, but because I really want a "pair" of something nice)
Either Hawain OR Indian Black Trigger
Niger Trigger
Pink Tail Trigger (coz I really want something green!)
Small Juv. queen angel
Small Juv. Regal (hippo) tang
Hareem of Flame Angels
Pair of Semilarvatus Butterflies

Obviously, I am not looking at all these fish! That is just the short list.

I'll try and get a photo tonight of the disaster that is my display tank at the moment. Hypo-salinity is finished today, so tomorrow will see the start of the s.g. increase. Initially I was hoping to have it up to 1.023 for the weekend, so I could aquascape it...... but realistically, that is pushing it a bit too hard, so it will be a late night aquascaping party some day next week!

Anyway - I just thought I would update you good people on how and why and what I am doing with my tank.

Regards,

Matt

I like the harem of flame angels idea. It looks like you don't really have a lot of bright red/orange with your current fish (other than the anthias, but those are quite a different color), so the color would really pop.

i like the blue jaws i have a female in my reef and she has lots of personality. i wish i had the room for a pair, and that would give you your green fish. i love to see pairs or groups in tanks look great and well thought out.

Do blue jaws get "green" then? I was discussing with a friend, and I have never actually seen a pair of "settled" blue jaws in the flesh...... I have seen a single male and a single female at the LFS but they were newly imported, and in any case I find that fish always "colour up" when they have settled in a tank. Do you find this to be so in the case of blue jaw pairs?
