Just wondering on a day to day basis, how much does the tank go through in evap??? I just ordered my sunpod and am just wondering the impact on evap that the light brings.

How do you cope and handle the evaporation? Do you have an auto-top off ?

Also about a half a gallon a day here too. I just top off twice a day. I made an auto top off, but haven't been using it, as its much easier to just pour it in the tank.

I have a 150 to and i just pour tap water in....I haven't gotten around do getting an ro/di system yet! Exactly how bad is it to pour tap water into the tank. I live in BKLYN, NY and they say that it is the best water water ever
The AP burns a bit more than a half-gallon everyday. I am going to setup a drip system or something. For now I am just refilling every night.
To the guy in NY. Get a ro/di system. It may be the "best water" ever but the city still has to use chemicals to kill bacteria and other nasties that might want to hurt you. A ro/di produces pure water. Your tank will eventually fill up with nutrients from the tap water and explode with algae and it will be a huge pain to remove.
I tried to use bottle spring water once, what a nightmare.
