250 MH ballast/bulb recommendations

I am going to be lighting a 70RR that is 36 x 18 x 25. I had in mind to use a 250 watt MH DE setup. Maybe a pfo 250 mini but I could go with some sort of retro as I will have a cap. I plan on having actinics on a icecap 430 also.

What ballast and bulb does everyone recommend? Thanks in advance.

I would get a pair Pheonix 14K DE lamps in pendants with an E-ballast like an Icecap or Reef Fanatic.

BTW what do you mean you will have a cap?

On that size tank, you can run 2 different bulbs and get great results, and not have it look funny.

Run a phoenix, and a 10K. The 10K has a big violet spike, where the phoenix has almost no violet. THe phoenix has a huge blue spike, where the 10k doesnt have much.

By cap I mean it has a wood canopy.

Are you guys saying I should not run the VHOs actinic or otherwise, but just run two MHs?
