Got CaCO3...
Here is my last bit of paronoia before getting water into the tank and I'm hoping to get some reassurances that I'll be ok. Anyway it's been a long time coming my new 250g tank (96" x 24" x 25") and have now placed it onto what I thought was a very level stand is now showing a few gaps between it and the tank.
Anyway here is the tank (outside finish moulding not up yet)
Front
Back
and all along the back the tank sits snug on the 1/2" foam
However on the right front corner the foam is loose. About a 1/16" wiggle for about 8" in and about 4" back.
So I got some thin (0.0078") sheets of aluminum flashing and cut 6 layers to fill the area
Also have about a 6" length along the front toward the left that wiggles about 1/16" or less. So my question is should I have done this? Does 1/16" really matter? Will the foam compress? Will the aluminum corrode? Any comments. Thanks,
