For those that are/have followed my 180 thread know that I have added on a bit over the years. Going from a 120, moving to a 180, bringing the 120 back on line pumped in WITH the 180 sump. I decided to make this new thread as the 120+180 will NOT be connected to the new 265. By the end of this there will be 565g of DT and 225g of possible (if full) sump/filtration. I will still keep up the 120/180 thread. See bottom for links to other threads/webcam.
Now to start:
I have been presented, by a friend, the opportunity to get a 265 tank. This will be basically a move for the 265 as it is running as I type this. Inhabitants will move with it. The final location of the 265 will be to the right of the 180. For those that look at the web cam just zoom out and move right. There is a 55g QT there now.
Tank:
Marineland 265 black trim. 84Lx24Dx30T
Hardware:
Apex with 5x energy8 bars. Numerous probes and breakout box.
6x radions either 3gen or pro (cant remember)
4x MP40's
2x 75g sumps (tied together by 2x cross-connects)
2x skimmers
2x dc-10,000 return pumps
Three chamber media reactor
ATS
Assorted heaters, PH, dosing pump, ATO, heaters.
Current setup:
Currently it is setup with 2x HOB overflow. 2x over the top returns. 2x sumps below with a skimmer in each.
Modify:
Internal overflow box drilled/piped to external BeanAnimal.
Drill two additional holes for return flow.
Inhabitants in 265:
I plan on moving my Ritteri to the new tank and allow him to find his nitch and enjoy life to the fullest. He is hosting 4x OC's all from the same brood.
Overcome before going live:
Move it
Drill it
Overflow it
Move to final spot
Install lights in fish room
Drywall ceiling
Finish muddying existing wall.
Paint
Modify/correct sink to move RODI and allow for drain (rodi and old water)
Dream:
Setup a refugium between both setups to allow for cross flow of nutrients/dosing and water stability and of course nutrient export.
