I am setting up a 265 tank thats 7 feet long...thought about using a pair of 6101's and a controller for flow....is this enough?

I would probably go with the 6201s instead. A friend of mine has two in his 265 in addition to a wavebox and is quite pleased with them.

6101 or 6201?

6101 or 6201?

definately go with 6201, I have two in my 265 with a wavebox and really to do it again I would do 4 6201 and no wavebox

I have (4) 6200 and (2) 6201 in my 500 gallon and they really put out some flow.. I would say you will end up with (4) 6201..

At least 2 tunze 6201 or else you wont be able to feel the flow... My friend setup the same size tank with CL, Vortech, and 2 tunze 6000. In less than 2 months, he has the vortech sold and add the wavebox and 2 tunze 6100. You will love the flow with 4 tunze 6201..... It is a litte pricey but the performance is awesome.....

I had 4 6200 and dual wavebox in my 240g before....

Good lord Man. Im going to be using 4-6101's and two waveboxes in my 500. I couldnt Imagine the whirlpool you had in a 240.

Roger Recommended the 6101's over the 6201's in my 500 so I took his advice. He said I could probably get away with just two with the waveboxes.

LOL :D I agree, but those Tunzes are addicting! I can sit there and just watch the water swirl around!

Well, you are going to have a sandbed and you only keep softies. I can understand why Roger recommend 2 waveboxes and two stream...
