280gal tank

Hey guys, just wanted to know if a 280gal tank would be too heavy for a second floor apt.

Without knowing the structure of a building yes, that's well over 2000lbs of water plus the tank itself and the equipment. A tank like that can be put on the second floor, but the structure of your average building must be strengthened to keep from sagging and possibly collapsing. :eek1:

I put my 280 on the second floor, but used a lot of bracing under it. As a general coment I would say that it would be way to heavy without extra support.
