So my 29 gallon has been set up for a little over a year now and things are doing pretty good. There have been ups ad downs and lots of things learned and still learning. I'm at the point where I'm debating what else to add fishwise(pretty much maxed out on corals.
Stat's are as follows;
29 gallon standard
AC110 modified to be a dark fuge with carbon, purigen and reef rubble.
Aquamaxx HOB-1(need to tinker with it as it hasn't been producing much skimmate)
Shallow Sand bed
dry rock from reefrocks.net
Lighted is two BML strips 1 their stock 12k and one a custom(that I got used) which is more blues and violets
2 jager 75watt heaters
tunze nano ATO
all controlled by an apex jr.
Corals is pretty mixed
2 frogspawn
2 hammers
2 chalice
2 blasto
GSP(on a magnetic frag plug on the back wall)
small ricordia garden
1 golden yuma
a few zoas and palys
2 acans
2 struggling goni's
inverts;
2 sexy shrimp
tube anemone
3 pom pom crab
pistol shrimp
blood red shrimp
porcelain anemone crab
2 rock flower anemone
1 maxi mini nem
1(now two because of split) mini red anemone
various snails(dwarf cerith,florida cerith,dwarf planaxis, zig zag perwinkle, trochus, astrea)
yellow cuke
fish;
female sailfin molly(first fish after cycle was complete) which I need to rehome because the flow is more than she likes)
Purple firefish
tailspot blennie
Working on getting my RODI unit installed which will hopefully solve my high alk issues.
current pest problems;
vermetid snails and asterina stars
Manually crushing the snail to hopefully keep them under control.
As far as what to add next I'm looking for some feedback. I don't want to overstock it.
Maybe a couple of bumblebee shrimp to see if they keep the asterina stars under control.(if I get them I'll move the cuke to another tank I'm setting up)
Thinking a Randalls prawn goby to hopefully pair with the pistol shrimp
Then I was leaning towards a tanaka's wrasse and a pink streaked wrasse.
I would love a blue assessor but I think that would be pushing it also not sure the sexy shrimp or bumblebee shrimp would be safe.
